Easy Peasy Banana Bread

Makes 1 loaf (about 8 servings)

INGREDIENTS

- 3 very ripe bananas, mashed

- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 large egg

- 2 tsp NJFZ Market Pure Madagascar Vanilla Extract

- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

STEPS

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and melted butter until well combined.

3. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.

5. Add the flour and mix just until incorporated. Do not overmix!

6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

NOTES

Try the Bourbon-Infused or Rum-Infused vanilla extract instead of Original for a deeper, richer flavor. Add 1/2 cup walnuts, almonds, or chocolate chips if desired.

Skillet Herbed Chicken Thighs

A simple skillet dish that highlights the bold flavor of NJFZ Market's EVOO and Spices.

INGREDIENTS

• 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

• 3 tablespoons NJFZ Market Extra Virgin Olive Oil

• 3 teaspoons NJFZ Market “All You Need” Seasoning

• 1 lemon, juiced

• 2 garlic cloves, minced

• 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

STEPS

1. Season the chicken: Pat 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, mix 3 teaspoons NJFZ Market “All You Need” Seasoning. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.

2. Heat the oil: Heat 3 tablespoons NJFZ Market Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

3. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet in a single layer. Sear each side for 5-6 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

4. Add 2 garlic cloves, minced to the pan. Cook until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

5. Remove the pan from heat. Squeeze 1 lemon, juiced over the chicken and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped before serving.

NOTES

Serve over rice, with roasted vegetables, or alongside crusty bread to soak up the pan juices. The olive oil and spice blend do all the heavy lifting here, so quality ingredients really shine through.

Golden Yellow Rice

A fragrant, golden side dish made with NJFZ Market EVOO and Spices. This side dish is a simple staple that pairs with just about anything.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 tablespoons NJFZ Market Extra Virgin Olive Oil

• 1/2 yellow onion, diced

• 2 garlic cloves, minced

• 2 cups jasmine white rice

• 3 teaspoons of NJFZ Yellow Rice Perfector

• 3 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable broth

• 1 bay leaf

• 1/2 cup frozen peas

STEPS

1. Sauté the onion: Heat 2 tablespoons NJFZ Market EVOO in a medium pot over medium heat. Add 1/2 yellow onion, diced and cook until softened and translucent.

2. Add garlic: Add 2 garlic cloves, minced and cook until fragrant. Stir in 1/2 cup frozen peas.

3. Stir in 2 cups rice, coating the grains in oil.

4. Add the NJFZ Market Yellow Rice Perfector.

5. Pour in 3 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable broth and add 1 bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

6. Remove from heat and let sit covered for a few minutes, then remove the bay leaf, fluff with a fork, and serve.

NOTES

NJFZ Market’s Yellow Rice Perfector gives the rice its signature golden color and earthy flavor; a pinch of saffron can be added for an even richer color and aroma. Great alongside grilled meats, beans, or roasted vegetables.

Cozy Latte

Classic Latte with Freshly Ground Coffee

A café-style latte made from freshly ground NJFZ Market local coffee beans. Smooth espresso and silky steamed milk.

INGREDIENTS

• 18 grams NJFZ Market coffee beans, whole

• 1 cup whole milk

• 1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener (optional)

STEPS

1. Grind the beans: Measure 18 grams NJFZ Market coffee beans, whole. Using a burr grinder, grind the beans to a fine, espresso-consistency grind. It should feel like slightly coarse powdered sugar between your fingers.

2. Dose and tamp: Distribute the grounds evenly in the portafilter and tamp firmly and level.

3. Pull the espresso shot: Lock the portafilter into the espresso machine and pull a double shot, aiming for about 2 oz of espresso in 25–30 seconds.

4. Steam the milk: Pour 1 cup whole milk into a steaming pitcher. Steam until the milk reaches about 150°F and has a smooth, velvety microfoam texture.

5. Combine espresso and sweetener: Pour the espresso into a cup. Stir in 1 teaspoons sugar or sweetener (optional) if using.

6. Pour the milk: Slowly pour the steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon until the end, then top with a layer of foam.

NOTES

No espresso machine? Substitute a strong pour-over or moka pot brew (about 1/3 cup concentrated coffee) for the espresso shots, and froth milk with a handheld frother or by shaking warm milk vigorously in a sealed jar. Grind size matters most here: too coarse and the shot pulls too fast and weak; too fine and it chokes the machine.
